As part of the “18.45 Talks | Formation” series, a talk by Rüya Akyol—who produces original designs across various fields from product design to interior architecture—was held at İskele on Thursday, November 25. During the talk, she addressed topics such as her design process, globalization, and the underutilized potentials in Türkiye.
Rüya Akyol received her design education at Istanbul Technical University, Politecnico di Milano, and Domus Academy. After working for over five years in Milan as a designer and studio director at Claudio Bellini, she continued her career in Paris with Philippe Starck, one of the world’s leading designers. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with many prestigious brands such as (IT) Glas Italia, Kartell, Natuzzi, (KR) Alloso, and (TR) Vitra and Ersa. She has continued her practice with a broad design portfolio.
During the event, wearing masks was mandatory, and HES code checks were conducted at the entrance.
