DESCRIPTION:As part of the “18.45 Talks | Thoughtful Image” series\, a talk focusing on the photographic perspective of Berk Kır—listed among Europe’s Rising 150 Photography Talents—was held at İskele on Thursday\, December 9.\r\n\r\nThemes prominent in Berk Kır’s practice and research included conceptual thinking\, image theory\, cultural heritage\, the relationship between the human body and space\, and the city.\r\n\r\nBerk Kır graduated from the Art History Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2019 and continued his studies in the Cultural Heritage Conservation master’s program at Kadir Has University. Living in Istanbul as a researcher and photographic artist\, he was recognized in 2021 by Amsterdam-based GUP Magazine as one of “Europe’s Rising 150 Talents.” He also served as a brand ambassador for Samsung Türkiye and as a photography editor for Unlimited Publications.
