Furni-Tur

Furni-Tur is a design platform was established in 2018 with the contribution of İstikbal Furniture and Turkey Design Council.


It aims to create an interdisciplinary framework with creative design ideas and applications, especially furniture design. It keeps up with the flow of both the local and international design world by offering up-to-date content. Constructed as a dynamic and original platform, Furni-Tur makes good design accessible for anyone interested in design, especially young designers.


İstikbal Furniture and Turkey Design Council invite designers, architects, engineers, and students to the Furni-Tur International Furniture Design Competition. With this contest, aesthetic perception, digital and physical experiences, flexible and compatible, sustainable materials, and production technologies are applied that can meet the needs of the globalizing world; It is aimed to study design ideas focused on the living unit.


This competition, which draws attention to the importance of design with the blend of design culture, daily life, and technology, also emphasizes the potential of designers to reveal added value and innovative solutions. Participants are encouraged to produce design-oriented answers to future problems and lifestyle.


Furni-Tur International Furniture Design Competition focused on furniture and food culture in its first year. A total of 248 records were taken into the contest. A total of 256 projects were evaluated together with 6 contestants offering more than one project. Out of 173 individual projects, 75 teams managed to beat 36 of the first projects. After the second elimination, 18 projects were examined and 10 of them remained in the third elimination. In the last round, the studies that have been awarded degrees, honorable mention, and special prize were determined.
